Stagecoach has announced that it is to launch ‘Megabus Gold’, its latest concept in sleeper services from London to Scotland.

Following successful trials with Megabus Sleepers which we featured on the blog a while back, Stagecoach has invested in a fleet of brand new 42-berth Van Hool double deckers to go full-time with the service. Initial sleepers will run from London to Glasgow, Inverness, Aviemore, Edinburgh, Falkirk, Dunfermline, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Cumbernauld.

One of the selling points of the new service will be the premium offering at a low price – so premium, in fact, that complimentary Megabus Gold onesies are being offered to passengers for their journeys!

Other amenities will include the usual array of home comforts, from free wifi to power points, tables and toilets.

Will you be using Megabus Gold? We’d love to know – tweet us, @transportdsn
