#AYearOfBuses 330: Stockport – Manchester Airport

It’s day 330 on #AYearOfBuses! Today’s winner is a recently refreshed bus route linking Stockport with Manchester Airport.

Stagecoach Manchester’s X30 runs from Stockport, in Greater Manchester, fast and direct to Manchester Airport via the M60 and M56 motorways. There are other buses running between the two places, but with a typical journey time of around 20 mins, the X30 is by far the quickest on paper.

It was born out of the ashes of the 330, which previously ran from Ashton to Stockport and the Airport. Earlier this year, Stagecoach jettisoned the airport section of the 330, creating a faster link from Stockport with earlier buses to match shift patterns for airport workers.
