Fancy a tipple? Stagecoach in the Highlands’ X98 can take you to one of Scotland’s most famous distilleries.
The X98 links the city of Inverness, the cultural capital of the Scottish Highlands, with the highland towns of Tain, Brora, Wick and Thurso on the east coast. It’s perhaps one of the most achingly beautiful bus routes in the British Isles, with miles and miles of views out to the North Sea as it snakes its way up the A9.
Tain, one of the towns along the route, is home to the Glen Morangie single malt distillery, perched on the edge of the tranquil shores of the Dornoch Firth.
