#AYearOfBuses 295: Clapham Junction – Ladbroke Grove

It’s one of West London’s busiest bus routes, running through the heart of Hammersmith and Fulham – today on #AYearOfBuses, it’s the 295.

Running North-South across West London, the 295 is one of London’s most important cross-river connections. It runs from Clapham Junction station – Europe’s busiest station by volume of trains, with between 100 and 180 trains per hour running through – across the river to Fulham, Hammersmith, Notting Hill and Ladbroke Grove.

Though it runs through some of the most densely populated areas of London, in 2000, the route was converted to single deck operation with a fleet of Marshall Capital-bodied Darts. Thankfully, in 2003 it was converted back to double deckers, and became a 24 hour route in 2007.
