#AYearOfBuses 292: Colindale – Borehamwood

Fancy becoming a TV star? Well, today’s winner on #AYearOfBuses could help you to get there!

At least, until those cheques start rolling in, anyway. Metroline’s route 292 links north London with Elstree and Borehamwood. Elstree, of course, is home to Elstree Studios, which in turn was previously famous for being the home of reality TV series Big Brother, amongst others.

The 292 itself was introduced as part of London Transport’s Trolleybus Replacement Program, to replace trolleybus route 666 between Burnt Oak and Willesden in 1962 with a fleet of AEC Regent III RTs.
