#AYearOfBuses 254: X54 Dundee – Glenrothes

We haven’t featured a Scottish interurban coach route on #AYearOfBuses for a while, so today, we’re taking a look at the X54.

Stagecoach East Scotland’s X54 links the coastal city of Dundee with Cupar and Glenrothes. It previously ran all the way to Dunfermline and Edinburgh; the route has since split, with the X59 now running the section between Edinburgh and Glenrothes.

Still, the X54 in itself is a splendid route, brimming with stunning Scottish scenery. It follows the A91 through Cupar and past Bow of Fife, before nosediving along the A92 towards Glenrothes.
