#AYearOfBuses 243: Edinburgh – Queensferry

It’s day 243 on #AYearOfBuses, and we’re heading back to Scotland – well, Edinburgh, to be precise!

Lothian spin-off Lothian Country’s route 43 and X43 link the city centre with the west of the city and Queensferry. At the western end of the 43, you’ll find the Queensferry Crossing and the iconic, spectacular Forth Bridges – both just a short walk away with stops close by.

Lothian Country itself was created as a separate company from Lothian in 2017, and the 43 was its first route linking Queensferry with the city. Since then, it’s gone from strength to strength, adding more routes from West Lothian into the city with a new depot opening in the heart of Livingstone.
