#AYearOfBuses 201: Bourne – Peterborough

Delaine 201

We’re heading back to Bourne today on #AYearOfBuses – it’s day 201!

We featured Delaine’s route 101 exactly 100 days ago here on #AYearOfBuses. Whilst the 101 takes a scenic route between Bourne and Peterborough through the Deepings, the 201 takes an equally picturesque route through Lincolnshire via the beautiful walled town of Stamford.

In 2013, Stamford was voted Britain’s best place to live by the Sunday Times – and it’s easy to see why! The town’s assortment of 17th and 18th century stone and timber buildings are sublime, along with an astonishing five medieval churches dotted around town.

It’s a town steeped in history, with a road layout dating back to the Roman times, and it was even the seat of several Parliaments in the Midle Ages.
