#AYearOfBuses 139: Bath & Bristol direct

It’s to the West of England once more for us here on #AYearOfBuses!

We’re going back to Bath for a look at one of the region’s most important bus routes.

First West of England’s X39 connects the Somerset city of Bath with its friendly neighbour, Bristol. There’s a bus every 12-15 mins through the daytime, featuring buses with free WiFi completing the trip with an average end-to-end journey time of around an hour.

Interestingly, the X39 takes a route which runs pretty much parallel with the Great Western Mainline and the competing GWR rail service; the bus running fast down the Keynsham bypass and Bath Road with the train running almost directly alongside!
