We’re taking another scenic stroll around the Dalesbus network today here on #AYearOfBuses!
Those familiar with the world-famous Settle and Carlisle rail line will know all about the Ribblehead Viaduct – the spectacular 400-metre long Midland Railway viaduct on the Carlisle and North Yorkshire border.
The Ribblehead Dalesbus 831 runs on Summer Sundays, running from the stunning village of Hawes in Wensleydale, where crowds of motorcyclists congregate on sunny days, down Ribblesdale through Horton-in-Ribblesdale to the busy market town of Settle.
And yes…this part of the world really is as idyllic as it sounds.
