We’re sticking with the South of England for day 13 on #AYearOfBuses, with this zesty entry from Reading Buses.
6 of these fantastically bright orange Wright StreetDecks upgraded Reading’s routes to and from Woodley, the 13 and 14, in September 2016. They were the product of a number of trials at Reading Buses, which even saw the company testing a New Routemaster in the city.
Inside, they feature that quirky social seating arrangement upstairs, first seen on the Spritzer buses serving the university, as well as USB power, free WiFi, a glazed staircase, and start-stop engine technology.
There’s a whole host of Best Impressioned-designed goodness on board too, from the fuel filler caps (anyone for ‘orange juice’?) to the bespoke graphics for the table tops upstairs.
