One of Sheffield’s most important routes, the 120 is today’s focus here on #AYearOfBuses.
Dominated by the duality in the city that is First and Stagecoach, the 120 is one of Sheffield’s busiest bus routes. It runs cross-city, from Halfway in the east, to the Crystal Peaks shopping centre and retail park, and on to Manor Top, the city centre, the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, extending to Fulwood on Sundays.
Competing with its own Supertram services on the eastern section of the route, Stagecoach run mostly double-decker Alexander Dennis Enviro400 hybrids and diesels, whilst First mainly use a selection of diesel ADL Enviro400s, and Wright Streetlites. Both operator’s buses have been adorned with signs of the new quality partnership in the city, gaining ‘Buses for Sheffield’ branding alongside their existing operator brands.

The 120 runs to Fulwoon seven days a week. Not just Sunday’s. Journeys operate Halfway to Ranmoor by Stagecoach and (overlapping) Crystal Peaks to Fulwoon by First. Evenings and Sunday’s both operators serve the full route alternately.
