#AYearOfBuses 88: Camden Town – Clapham Common

All aboard the Clapham Omnibus! We’re staying in London for day 88 on #AYearOfBuses, and we’re picking up where we left off in the story from yesterday.

Affectionately known as ‘the Clapham Omnibus’, London General’s route 88 runs out of their Stockwell Garage, from Clapham, South London, up into the heart of the West End. The 88 changes from tomorrow (30 March), absorbing route C2 and swapping its fleet of New Routemasters with the Enviro400 hybrids currently plying their trade on the 87.

The 88 itself runs (at the moment) from Clapham Common to Vauxhall, Parliament Square, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Circus and Camden Town – from 30 March, it’ll be extended to Parliament Hill Fields, and whilst losing its fleet of ‘Borismasters’, it’ll also be converted to 24hr operation.
