#AYearOfBuses 316: Parkhead – Huddersfield

It’s back to West Yorkshire for day 316 on #AYearOfBuses – and perhaps one of Britain’s most scenic bus turning circles?

First Huddersfield’s 316 is part of a network of routes heading south out of the town centre, branded as the Holme Valley Connection. Featuring buses branded with red fronts, the small network of routes links places like Meltham, Holmfirth and Hepworth with the West Yorkshire town of Huddersfield.

The 316 is particularly scenic, running along New Mill Road before dropping into Holmfirth – home of course to the popular TV series, Last of the Summer Wine – before continuing to the jaw-droppingly scenic turning circle at Parkhead terminus, with stunning views over the Holme Valley.
