#AYearOfBuses 312: South Croydon – Norwood Junction

It’s day 312 on #AYearOfBuses, and following on from yesterday, we’re staying in London – but heading a little further south!

Arriva London South’s route 312 wears the badge of honour of being London’s first bus route to be operated exclusively by fully-electric buses.

Late in 2015, a small fleet of seven single deck Optare Metrocity EVs joined Arriva’s Croydon Garage for the 312, combining with two existing buses to create a nine-strong allocation. Though nowadays in practice, diesel substitutions are more than common on the 312!

With thanks to Mark Lyons for today’s info and pic!
