#AYearOfBuses 308: Newcastle – Blyth

It’s day 308 on #AYearOfBuses, and that’s the perfect opportunity for us to take a look at one of the North East’s most scenic bus routes.

Previously branded as the North East’s ‘Coastliner’, the 308 takes a picturesque adventure up the east coast, from Newcastle city centre to the coastal town of Whitley Bay, and on to Seaton Sluice and Blyth.

Along the way, you’ll see St Mary’s Lighthouse at Whitley Bay, overlooking the expanse of the North Sea, and at Seaton Sluice, there’s a small, decidedly unique looking, but equally picturesque harbour.
