#AYearOfBuses 297: Platinum Birmingham – Walsall

Today on #AYearOfBuses, it’s the 997 – the West Midland’s highest-numbered bus route.

…and quite possibly, one of the highest-numbered bus routes in the country? We’re certainly struggling to think of any higher!

The 997 is one of National Express West Midland’s Platinum-spec premium bus routes, featuring 4G WiFi, high-backed seating, next stop announcements and more. It links Walsall with Pheasey, Perry Barr and Birmingham city centre, and was one of the very first Platinum routes to be launched.
