#AYearOfBuses 270: East Grinstead – Brighton

Go-Ahead’s smartly branded 270 is today’s winner on #AYearOfBuses.

Metrobus 270 is an attraction-packed route, running from the town of East Grinstead, in Mid Sussex, to Horsted Keynes, Haywards Heath, Burgess Hill, Hassocks and Brighton. It was recently upgraded with a fleet of tastefully route-branded two-tone blue Alexander Dennis Enviro200s.

Along the way, you’ll find the preserved Bluebell Railway, with stations at East Grinstead and Horsted Keynes. South of Hassocks, the 270 cuts a path through the South Downs National Park, where you’ll find the Jack & Jill Windmills and spectacular views from Ditchling Beacon, the third-highest point on the South Downs.
