#AYearOfBuses 252: Tunbridge Wells – Heathfield

What has to be one of Kent and Sussex’s most spectacular bus routes features today on #AYearOfBuses – Stagecoach’s 252.

The 252 runs from the town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent, to the parishes of Rotherfield, Mayfield, and the small, affluent town of Heathfield in East Sussex.

It takes in a series of winding, tree-lined, narrow, hilly roads on its journey south towards Heathfield, passing local landmarks including Nap Wood, a tranquil National Trust walk close to Scotney Castle.

Through the week, the 252 runs with sister route 251 to create a combined frequency of every 30 mins between Tunbridge Wells and Heathfield, where there’s a guaranteed connection onto the 51 to Polegate and Eastbourne.
