Platinum is National Express West Midlands’ answer to Stagecoach’s Gold, Arriva’s Sapphire and all the rest of the ‘higher spec than normal’ bus routes designed to tempt commuters from their cars.
Platinum X51 was recently introduced, reinstating a long-lost bus link between the town of Cannock and the city of Birmingham after a several year hiatus. It runs fast through Great Barr, Walsall and Bloxwich, with a fleet of Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMCs featuring free WiFi and USB power.
