It’s another Stagecoach Gold route today on #AYearOfBuses, but it’s one quite unlike any of the others we’ve featured in this series!
All of the Gold routes we’ve featured so far have featured a variety of Alexander Dennis-bodied double deckers kitted out with Stagecoach’s high-spec, luxurious interiors. Today’s is a little different – Midlands route 48 features single deck ADL Enviro200MMCs, still featuring that signature spec – and there’s more differences in the routes they run on, too.
Whereas most Gold routes we’ve featured so far are scenic, interurban routes where those deckers can stretch their legs, the 48 is a more of a mini-network centred on Nuneaton. Gold 48 runs every 20 mins from Nuneaton to Leicester, every 10 mins between Nuneaton and Coventry, and every 30 mins from Atherstone to Nuneaton and Coventry.
