#AYearOfBuses 228: Tunbridge Wells – Crowborough

It’s been quite a while since we featured a bus route from Kent here on #AYearOfBuses – so today, we’re putting things right!

The 228, from West Sussex-based independent Compass Bus, connects picturesque Royal Tunbridge Wells with the town of Crowborough, situated at the edge of Ashdown Forest in the High Weald Area of Outstanding National Beauty.

It’s a short, but scenic jaunt down the A26, and the 228 and 229 are Compass Bus’ first foray into Kent, having taken over the routes in 2018 from fellow independent Seaford and District.
