#AYearOfBuses 219: Manchester – Stalybridge

Three days ago, we featured one of two routes linking Manchester with Ashton on #AYearOfBuses, and today, we’re taking a look at the second.

Stagecoach Manchester’s 219 links Manchester city centre with Openshaw, Guide Bridge and Ashton, running along Ashton Old Road (sister route 216, which we featured a few days ago, runs along Ashton New Road). Both routes run up to every 10 mins or better, offering customers travelling between Ashton and Manchester a healthy choice between buses.

The 219 goes a little further, with some morning and late evening buses running to Stalybridge, deep in the heart of Tameside, and some buses at the weekends running further still to Glossop, on the edge of the Peak District.
