#AYearOfBuses 191: Cardiff – Penarth Pier

One of the shortest routes we’ve featured to date on #AYearOfBuses, today we’re taking a look at the seasonal 91, from Cardiff Bus.

On Summer Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, Cardiff Bus run a special bus connecting the city centre with Cardiff Bay and Penarth, the small but beautiful town just a few miles southwest of Cardiff.

Known in the Victorian era as the ‘Garden Beside the Sea’, upmarket Penarth is best known for its stunning pier, finally completed in 1895 after years of financial turmoil.

Cardiff Bus’ 91 runs hourly on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays during the summer, connecting the city centre with the Bay, Millennium Centre and Penarth with a journey time of around 25 mins.
