It’s another Sapphire route today on #AYearOfBuses! We’re taking a look at Arriva’s 163, linking Leeds with Kippax, Garforth and Castleford.
A former ‘Elite’ route using Leeds’ extensive network of guided busways, the 163 – along with its sister route, the 166 – links the suburbs east of Leeds with the city centre. It’s home to a fleet of Alexander Dennis Enviro400MMCs, featuring free WiFi, USB power, eLeather seats and next-stop announcements.
A particular attraction along the route is Diggerland in Castleford – where you can take control of real diggers, dumpers and other assorted construction machinery!
