We’re taking a look at another of Arriva’s MAX routes for day 127 on #AYearOfBuses! This time, it’s MAX 127, from Dewsbury to Wakefield.
MAX 127, along with sister route, the 126, links the West Yorkshire towns of Dewsbury with Wakefield, via Ossett and Horbury. Through the daytime, Arriva’s high-spec, double deck buses link the towns every 10 mins.
MAX buses generally offer free WiFi, comfy high backed leather style seating, enhanced customer service training for drivers, a no quibble money back guarantee and a range of other customer-focused enhancements – but, that being the case, what is there to differentiate it from Arriva’s other high quality bus brand, Sapphire, which also offers the same features?

Not living nor often visiting Arriva operating territories, I have always presumed that MAX was used used for express or interurban routes.
I also had read that with advent of the new (horrid) corporate identity and livery that MAX was being discontinued.
Sapphire has on board visual and audio next stop announcements and max doesn’t that’s the only difference
