In the heart of South Wales lies a network centered on the city of Swansea – Cymru Clipper.
And Cymru Clipper X13 is one of the most scenic of them all. Taking in a winding route from Swansea (or Abertawe, as it might appear on the front of your bus in Welsh), the X13 snakes its way up out Wales’ second-largest city, to Ammanford, and the picturesque towns of Llandybie and Llandeilo.
Adjoining the town of Llandeilo is the extensive National Trust-managed Dinefwr Park, with the ruins of Dinefwr Castle and the church of Llandyfeisant. Footpaths through the landscaped park lead to the castle, with spectacular views over the Towy Valley.
The Cymru Clipper brand pays homage to Swansea’s maritime heritage, with its scenic marina and Maritime Quarter, now home to the National Maritime Museum.
