The AOI and London Transport Museum’s Prize for Illustration deadline has been extended!

London Stories

Illustrators rejoice! The AOI and London Transport Museum’s prize for illustration deadline is now Tuesday 31 July.

Submissions are now being accepted for the Poster Prize for Illustration 2019, in partnership with London Transport Museum, until the end of the day on Tuesday 31 July.

This year’s theme, as illustrated in the promo for the competition by Norfolk-based illustrator Julia Allum, is ‘London Stories’.  The aim of the Poster Prize for Illustration competition 2019 is to attract artwork for display that is colourful, inspiring and celebrates the vibrant, multi-layered city that is London.

Prizes for the competition will be awarded in three tiers. The first prize entry will win £2,000, plus their artwork featured on a London Transport Museum poster to be displayed on the Tube; the second prize winner will bag £1,000, and the third prize £750.

The competition is open to illustrators and students of illustration throughout the world. The top 100 entries selected by a panel of judges will be displayed in an exhibition at London Transport Museum that will run from February to Summer 2019, with the winners will be announced at an event during the exhibition opening week.

Find out more about the competition and enter now on the Association of Illustrators’ website – but hurry, the deadline is Tuesday 31 July.
